Piano Project

The piano was found over craigslist. The condition of the piano was such that it needed to be completely taken apart.

The bottom air pump system was removed and I had started on removing the piano hammers.

Player pianos contain an amazing amount of engineering and components

Richard and I working on the sound board which was behind the sound harp. The sound harp was cast iron and can be seen in the upper left corner of the picture

Now that the piano has been gutted, I get to piece it back together without its innards

This piano has two different wood veneers, tiger stripe maple on the outside and bird's eye maple on the inside.

Piano Project

This project involved gutting an antique player piano to have a skeletal version on stage.

The piano was found over craigslist. The condition of the piano was such that it needed to be completely taken apart.
